Special Education Teacher in Grenada, CA

Situated in Siskiyou County, CA, you'll work full time (37.5 hours per week) on a contract basis, with a manageable caseload of 28 students or fewer. The primary focus is on-site engagement; however, there may be potential consideration for a virtual/VOCO format for the right candidate.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher credential for California, or eligibility to obtain
• Experience working with K-12 students with mild to moderate learning differences
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, families, and related service providers
• Comfort with individualized education program (IEP) development, implementation, and documentation
• Familiarity with both in-person and virtual support models is a plus

Position Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instructional strategies to support student learning and growth
• Design, implement, and monitor IEPs, maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations
• Provide a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and family members to ensure student success
• Document progress, adapt curriculum materials, and maintain accurate records
