Key Qualifications:

• Valid North Carolina Teaching License for Middle and/or High School levels
• Proven expertise in special education, with the capacity to adapt instruction to meet a wide variety of student needs
• Experience in inclusion and/or resource teaching models preferred
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with general education staff, families, and support teams
• Dedication to individualized instruction, data-driven planning, and ongoing progress monitoring
• Ability to remain flexible and organized in a dynamic school environment
• Commitment to upholding professional standards and engaging positively with students and staff

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver in-person instruction, accommodations, and modifications for students in both inclusive and resource settings
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students on your caseload
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to support students within the general education environment
• Maintain detailed documentation for compliance and reporting
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and goals
• Participate in team meetings to plan and review student services
• Foster a welcoming, supportive classroom atmosphere that empowers all students to achieve their best
