Special Education Teacher - Hartford, CT

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Connecticut Special Education Teacher License
• Any additional certifications required for SPED instruction in CT
• Experience utilizing CT-SEDS strongly preferred
• Ability to deliver specialized instruction and implement IEPs
• Strong team collaboration and communication skills
• Adaptable and committed to student-centered learning

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and small-group instruction to students with special needs
• Develop and implement IEPs in accordance with state and district guidelines
• Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, and families
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring
• Foster an inclusive, positive, and respectful learning environment
• Adapt curriculum based on best practices in special education
• Engage in professional development as assigned

Onsite Roles Available:

• 9/1510/27: Special Education Teacher (BoE assignment)
• 9/2812/23: Special Education Teacher (Central)
• 11/262/28: Special Education Teacher (Prep)
• Full-time schedule: 35 hours/week
