Special Education Teacher | Hartford, Connecticut

Desired Qualifications:

• Current Connecticut Special Education licensure and certification
• Demonstrated school-based experience supporting students with a broad range of abilities
• Ability to provide professional references to complete the application process
• Confidence and adaptability for teaching in environments serving moderate to complex needs
• Experience with collaborative, interdisciplinary teams
• Willingness and availability to interview via Zoom

What Youll Do:

• Deliver individualized instruction and support in specialized and inclusive classroom settings
• Develop and implement effective IEPs, collaborating closely with fellow educators and related service providers
• Apply evidence-based strategies and differentiated instruction for students with autism, multiple disabilities, and other unique learning profiles
• Foster a safe, engaging, and empowering classroom environment
• Collect data and progress monitor student achievement, communicating regularly with families and teams
• Uphold best practices in behavioral, social-emotional, and academic interventions
• Participate fully in district and site-specific professional development
