We are currently seeking a committed and experienced Special Education Teacher to join a dedicated school team in Harvey, LA for the 2025–2026 school year. This full-time, onsite role involves working with a K–12 caseload and offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact on student development and achievement.

Position Details:

• Location: Harvey, LA

• Caseload: K–12

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) based on each student’s specific needs

• Provide direct instruction and support in academic, functional, and behavioral areas

• Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals and modify instructional strategies as needed

• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and parents to support inclusive educational practices

• Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team planning, and professional development activities

• Maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field

• Valid Louisiana teaching license with Special Education endorsement

• Previous experience working with students with disabilities across K–12 grade levels preferred

• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented school environment
