School-Based Special Education (SPED) Teacher
Location: Harvey, LA
Employment Type: Full-Time | Local W-2 Contract
Pay Range: $41/hr - $46/hr

Blazer Jobs is hiring a passionate Special Education (SPED) Teacher to serve students in Harvey, LA for the 2025–2026 school year. This position offers the chance to help students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally in a supportive learning environment.

Position Overview:
As a SPED Teacher, you will work closely with students who have a variety of learning needs, providing targeted instruction and strategies for success. You will collaborate with parents, school staff, and related service providers to ensure each student receives the support they need.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

• Provide direct instruction in both individual and small group settings

• Modify and adapt curriculum for student accessibility

• Track and report progress toward IEP goals

• Maintain compliance with Louisiana state regulations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field

• Valid Louisiana teaching certification in Special Education (or eligibility)

• School-based experience preferred

• Strong communication and teamwork skills
