Your expertise will help guide and support non-certified teachers by offering direct assistance with IEP development, data collection, instructional strategies, progress reports, and overall best practices. Key Qualifications:

• Active Louisiana Department of Education Certificate with Special Education (SPED) endorsement (required; no exceptions)
• Experience in special education instruction, IEP writing, and collaborating with diverse teams
• Demonstrated skill in supporting and mentoring staff on instructional techniques, progress monitoring, and data-driven decision making
• Ability to adapt quickly and work flexibly in multiple school environments
• Must complete district-specific credentialing, including fingerprinting, drug testing, and background screening

Primary Responsibilities:

• Itinerant support across assigned schools within the district throughout the academic year
• Provide direct guidance to non-certified teachers in special education classrooms
• Lead or assist with IEP creation, implementation, and compliance
• Analyze data and support consistent progress reporting
• Offer practical coaching and professional development to school staff as needed
