• An active and valid Delaware Special Education teaching certification (required; must be submitted with application)
• Previous experience working with students who have a range of learning needs and abilities
• Ability to adapt instruction and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• A commitment to inclusive education and differentiated instruction strategies

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and tailored instruction to students with exceptionalities in alignment with IEP goals
• Conduct ongoing assessments and monitor student progress, adjusting approaches as appropriate
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting as mandated by state and district requirements
• Foster a safe, supportive, and positive classroom atmosphere conducive to academic and social growth
• Work closely with general education teachers and specialists to develop and implement accommodations and modifications

Additional Details:

• Contract position, onsite, supporting students district-wide
• Full-time: 35 hours per week, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch
• Start date is as soon as possible, with contract extending through June 8, 2027
• Completion of an $85 CBC fingerprinting process is required and must be acknowledged prior to presentation; additional onboarding paperwork including TB test (if onsite), fingerprint receipt, and a Child Protective Registry Check is mandatory (district review may take up to 5 business days)
