Special Education Teacher - Hopkins, MN

Serving elementary-aged students, youll be responsible for a caseload of up to 10 students, working alongside dedicated paraprofessionals and an Intervener to provide individualized and effective instruction. This contract opportunity runs from September 1, 2026, through June 4, 2027, at a reputable elementary school in the Hopkins, MN area.

Your focus will be on fostering both academic and personal growth, particularly for students with ASD, by implementing evidence-based interventions and differentiated instruction strategies. Qualifications:

• Active Minnesota Special Education license, Tier 2 or above (PELSB/MDE required)
• Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher working with elementary students
• Preference given to those experienced with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder
• Ability to manage a caseload of up to 10 students while collaborating with paraprofessionals and an Intervener
• Strong commitment to inclusive, student-centered practices
• Excellent organizational and communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for assigned students
• Collaborate with general education staff, families, and support professionals
• Maintain accurate student records and progress data
• Create a positive, structured classroom environment
• Utilize assistive technology and adaptive materials as appropriate
• Participate in professional development and team meetings
