This contract opportunity runs from September 1, 2026, through June 4, 2027, at a reputable elementary school in the Hopkins, MN area.

Your focus will be on fostering both academic and personal growth, particularly for students with ASD, by implementing evidence-based interventions and differentiated instruction strategies. Qualifications:

  • Active Minnesota Special Education license, Tier 2 or above (PELSB/MDE required)
  • Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher working with elementary students
  • Preference given to those experienced with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Ability to manage a caseload of up to 10 students while collaborating with paraprofessionals and an Intervener
  • Strong commitment to inclusive, student-centered practices
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for assigned students
  • Collaborate with general education staff, families, and support professionals
  • Maintain accurate student records and progress data
  • Create a positive, structured classroom environment
  • Utilize assistive technology and adaptive materials as appropriate
  • Participate in professional development and team meetings
