Special Education Teacher | Hopkins, Minnesota

This contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact supporting students with diverse academic and behavioral needs at an innovative High School Alternative Learning Center. The role is part-time (approximately 18.7520 hours per week) for the entire school year, blending onsite instruction with a flexible approach tailored to individual learners.

Qualifications:

• Active Minnesota Special Education Teaching License (such as ABS, EBD, LD, or a related MN SPED endorsement)
• Experience with secondary students, preferably in an alternative or blended learning setting
• Skill in supporting students with a range of academic and behavioral needs
• Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment
• Strong collaboration and communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality instruction to high school students in a blended/onsite format
• Develop and implement IEPs aligned with graduation goals
• Track and report student progress, adjusting strategies to meet changing needs
• Collaborate closely with other educators, staff, and families to maximize student success
• Maintain compliance with all district, state, and federal requirements related to special education
