Dyslexia Interventionist – Elementary
Houston, TX | Full-Time | 2025–2026 School Year
Blazer Jobs is actively seeking a Dyslexia Interventionist to support elementary students in the Houston area for the upcoming school year. This is a full-time, onsite role designed for a passionate educator who understands the importance of early reading intervention and is ready to make a lasting impact on students' lives.
In this position, you'll work closely with students who show signs of reading difficulty or have been identified with dyslexia, using research-based structured literacy approaches to support their learning growth.
Key requirements:
Valid Texas teaching certification (EC–6, Reading Specialist, or similar)
Completion of TEA-approved dyslexia training
Strong knowledge of multisensory structured literacy instruction
Experience working with elementary-aged children, preferably in an intervention or special education setting
Ability to collaborate with families and educators to track and support student progress
Willingness to conduct assessments, interpret data, and adjust instruction accordingly
Primary responsibilities:
Provide direct instruction to small groups or individual students
Monitor and report on progress using appropriate diagnostic tools
Support classroom teachers in implementing accommodations or strategies
Coordinate with parents and school teams on intervention plans
Maintain compliance with state dyslexia guidelines and district policies
