Special Education Teacher - Indianapolis, IN

This is an exciting opportunity to work with either a resource program serving 25-30 students or an essential program supporting a caseload of 10 students. The workweek is Monday through Friday, with a consistent daily schedule from 8:20 AM to 3:10 PM (subject to change depending on classroom assignment), totaling 37.5 hours per week.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Indiana Special Education license required
• Certification in either Mild Intervention (for resource roles) or Intense Intervention (for essential roles)
• Previous experience working with students in a special education resource or essential setting preferred
• Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational abilities
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student strengths and goals
• Adapt instructional materials and methods according to student needs
• Maintain accurate records and progress reports in compliance with state and district guidelines
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to support each students academic and social-emotional well-being
• Promote positive behavior supports and inclusive practices throughout the school day
