We’re currently hiring for full-time special education teaching positions at the elementary level in Juneau, Alaska.

Job Requirements:

• Valid Alaska teaching certification with a Special Education endorsement

• Qualified to work with elementary students in a school setting

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field (Master’s preferred)

• Must meet all district and state requirements for school-based special education roles

Job Responsibilities:

• Teach and support students with a variety of needs in an elementary special education setting

• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student's learning goals

• Collaborate with general education staff, service providers, and families

• Use adaptive strategies and tools to meet students’ academic and behavioral goals

• Maintain thorough documentation and participate in IEP meetings and school team discussions
