Special Education Teacher in Juneau, AK

Key Qualifications:

• Current Alaska Special Education Teacher license required
• Active Type C certification required (copies or certification numbers must be provided)
• Experience in special education settings preferred
• Demonstrated ability to implement IEPs and adapt instruction to meet individual student needs
• Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
• Commitment to in-person instruction; virtual/remote work is not available for this role

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver personalized instruction to students with varying disabilities in alignment with their IEPs
• Modify and adapt curricula to support the unique needs of each learner
• Work collaboratively with general education staff, related service providers, and families
• Track student progress, collect data, and participate in IEP meetings
• Foster a supportive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment
