High School Special Education Teacher

We’re looking for an experienced Special Education Teacher to join a high school team in Kansas City, Missouri. If you're passionate about inclusive education and have experience working with high school learners with disabilities, this opportunity is for you!

Job Title: High School Special Education Teacher
Location: Kansas City, MO
Position Type: Full-Time | On-Site

Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction and support in both resource and inclusion settings

• Manage and update IEPs for high school students

• Maintain compliance with IDEA and district policies

• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education

• Valid Missouri Teaching Certificate with Special Education endorsement (e.g., Mild/Moderate Disabilities or Cross-Categorical)

• Minimum one year of teaching experience in special education

• Strong classroom management and communication skills
