Contract renewals for the next school year will be based on performance and district needs.
Location: Raytown, MO
Schedule: Full-time, school hours
Setting: K–12 school environment (exact grade level based on placement)
Assignment Type: School-year contract with potential for renewal
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Adapt and modify instructional materials to meet students’ diverse learning needs
Deliver instruction in both inclusive and specialized settings
Collaborate with general education staff, service providers, and families
Manage and document student progress, compliance records, and educational goals
Participate in IEP meetings and multi-disciplinary planning sessions
Create a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment
Applicants must meet all state and local requirements to be eligible for this position:
Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
Valid Missouri teaching certificate with appropriate Special Education endorsement (such as Mild/Moderate Disabilities, Cross-Categorical, or other applicable area)
Knowledge of IEP development and implementation, instructional strategies, and student data tracking
Prior experience working in a school-based setting is strongly preferred
Must pass required background checks and district onboarding procedures
