Special Education Teacher

Location: Kent, WA
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 37.5 hours per week
Contract Dates: August 2025 – June 2026 (2025–2026 School Year)
Caseload: Varies based on student assignment

Blazer Jobs is seeking a certified Special Education Teacher for a full-time, school-based role in Kent, WA. This position is ideal for a compassionate educator dedicated to supporting the academic and functional needs of students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support in academic and functional areas, tailored to individual student needs

• Collaborate with school staff to develop and implement instructional goals and methods in accordance with district and IEP requirements

• Regularly communicate with parents and team members to exchange updates and support strategies

• Conduct ongoing assessments of student achievement using formal and informal tools

• Prepare for and actively participate in IEP and related meetings to support student programming and services

Requirements:

• Valid Washington state certification as a Special Education Teacher or appropriate credential

• Experience working in school settings preferred

• Strong understanding of differentiated instruction, behavior management strategies, and IEP processes

• Ability to work collaboratively and maintain consistent, accurate documentation
