Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid or pending GA Special Education Teacher certification (GaPSC), including SPED content through 8th grade
• Adapted Curriculum Endorsement (or willingness to pursue if credentials are currently pending)
• Experience or strong comfort working in lower-functioning, self-contained classrooms is preferred
• Ability to design engaging, functional life skills and academic lessons tailored to individual learner needs
• Strong teamwork skills and openness to collaborate with paraprofessionals and behavioral staff
• Excellent communication, flexibility, and problem-solving abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver instruction in a lower functioning, self-contained classroom setting, using a functional curriculum
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to promote student success
• Coordinate with paraprofessionals and behavioral staff to provide a structured, nurturing environment
• Employ evidence-based strategies and data-driven methods for instruction and behavioral support
• Maintain positive, ongoing communication with families, colleagues, and administration
