What Were Looking For:

  • Current Georgia professional educator certification (GaPSC) with a P-12 Special Education endorsement
  • Dyslexia endorsement required
  • Experience supporting students in inclusive elementary settings
  • Understanding of Autism, significant developmental delays, speech/language challenges, self-regulation, and learning disabilities
  • Comfortable supervising students with toileting goals (no diapering)
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction to a caseload of 8-10 PreK-2nd grade students (primarily grades 1-2)
  • Adapt curriculum and teaching techniques for diverse student needs
  • Work within an inclusion classroom model
  • Collaborate with general education staff, families, and support services
  • Supervise and encourage student independence with daily living skills as needed
