Blazer Jobs is currently interviewing experienced Special Education Teachers for a full-time position with partnered school districts in the Lexington, SC area. Qualifications & Requirements:
Applicants must meet all South Carolina state and local district requirements, including:
Valid South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE) Teaching Certificate with an endorsement in Special Education (e.g., Multi-Categorical, LD, ED, ID, etc.)
Bachelor's degree (minimum) in Special Education or a related field
Completion of state and federal background checks and fingerprinting
Compliance with district onboarding procedures and training
Previous experience in a special education or school-based setting (preferred)
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that meet state and federal guidelines
Provide tailored, differentiated instruction and behavioral support to students with diverse needs
Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure student success
Track and report student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
Maintain compliance with IDEA, state laws, and district policies
Participate in IEP meetings, staff meetings, and professional development activities
