Special Education Teacher in Littleton, CO

Step into a dynamic role in a vibrant Colorado school community, dedicated to supporting young learners as a bilingual Early Childhood Special Education professional. As a contract team member, youll play a pivotal role on a district Child Find Evaluation team, expediting crucial bilingual child evaluations and supporting early learning at multiple locations.

Starting as soon as possible and continuing through late May 2027, youll enjoy a full-time work week of 37.5 hours across at least two elementary settings. Your bilingual skills and expertise in Early Childhood Special Education will make a meaningful impact on children and their families, helping to identify needs and craft individualized plans that foster growth and success.

Qualifications:

• Valid Colorado Department of Education teaching license with Early Childhood SPED endorsement
• Bilingual proficiency (Spanish/English highly preferred)
• Experience in special education, ideally early childhood or school psychology
• Comprehensive understanding of child development, assessment, and evaluation
• Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and colleagues
• Must complete and submit a district contractor packet prior to assignment start

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct district-wide bilingual Child Find evaluations for early learners at assigned elementary schools and additional district sites
• Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and evaluation teams
• Provide professional insights to families and help develop action plans
• Maintain current documentation and timely reports
• Possibly fulfill duties as a bilingual school psychologist if qualified
