Applicants are required to hold a valid Colorado Department of Education Special Education (CDE SPED) License with a Generalist Endorsement. Only candidates with a current or pending SPED License (with proof of application and correct endorsement) will be considered. Substitute, interim, or temporary licenses do not meet this requirement. Virtual or hybrid assignments are not availablethis is an in-person role focused on direct student engagement.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Professional Teacher License endorsed in Special Education Generalist (5-21)
  • Documented or verifiable CDE SPED License status (with endorsement)
  • Depth of experience in special education teaching; instruction of students with varied learning needs
  • Strong command of instructional practices and strategies tailored for Specially Designed Instruction
  • Solid foundation in supporting students working toward alternative standards
  • Extensive knowledge of the IEP process, including document creation, goal setting, and compliance
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with IEP team members and related professionals

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver daily instruction to students with special education needs in a structured, supportive environment
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs based on individual student goals
  • Apply evidence-based teaching strategies and differentiated instruction to meet student needs
  • Work closely with instructional staff, therapists, and family members to ensure holistic educational progress
  • Progress monitor and track student achievement, making necessary adjustments to instructional plans
