Special Education Teacher - Longmont, CO

An opportunity is available for an experienced Special Education Teacher to work with a dedicated team and a small caseload in a setting focused on Significant Support Needs (SSN). This contract assignment offers the chance to partner closely with staff and families while helping students achieve their individualized goals.

Key Experience and Qualifications:

• Active Colorado Department of Education Special Education (SPED) teaching license required
• Previous experience teaching students with significant support needs strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and appropriate instructional strategies
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instruction, accommodations, and modifications to students with significant support needs in accordance with their IEPs
• Engage in IEP meetings, coordinate with general education teachers, and collaborate with related service providers
• Manage and adapt educational materials and classroom activities to foster maximum learning and inclusivity for all students
• Develop positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues to support student growth
• Maintain records and documentation in line with school policy and federal/state regulations
