Two positions are available to serve students in a collaborative and enriching environment. Youll play a vital role in guiding students to achieve academic and personal growth within supportive Athens area schools. Your day-to-day will involve working closely with a small resource caseload10 students at the elementary level and 11 at the middle schoolallowing for meaningful, individualized teaching moments.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active and valid Michigan Special Education Teacher certification (please provide verification upon applying)
• Strong background in creating and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Proven history empowering students in resource settings
• Effective communication and collaborative skills when working with teachers, staff, and families
• Experience in elementary and/or middle school settings preferred; please specify your classroom preference

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging resource instruction tailored to each students IEP goals
• Maintain rigorous data tracking and regular progress reports
• Adapt lesson plans to meet diverse learning needs
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and support personnel to foster inclusive educational growth
• Communicate proactively with families to support student success
• Support a positive and consistent classroom environment

This contract position offers a schedule of approximately 35 hours weekly, running through the end of the 2026-2027 academic year. Candidates will rotate between two welcoming locations, each providing a structured, supportive setting.
