Part-Time Special Education Teacher Job Opening - Extended School Year

Blazer Jobs is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Special Education Teacher for a part-time position with partnered school districts in the McKeesport, PA area for Extended School Year (ESY) services. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students with special needs during summer programming in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Position Requirements:
Candidates must meet all Pennsylvania Department of Education and local district requirements, including:

Valid Pennsylvania Instructional Certificate with a Special Education endorsement

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field

Completion of required state and federal background checks

Current Act 34, Act 114, and Act 151 clearances

Prior experience in a school-based or ESY program (preferred)

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with student needs and ESY goals

Deliver differentiated instruction to meet the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of students

Monitor and document progress toward IEP goals throughout the ESY term

Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff

Ensure compliance with IDEA, state regulations, and district policies

Maintain a positive and structured classroom environment
