Caseload: High school students with varying support needs

Job Description:
BlazerJobs is actively seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher to serve high school students in Middletown, Connecticut. This full-time, onsite position is ideal for an educator passionate about creating inclusive learning environments and providing individualized academic, behavioral, and emotional support to students with special needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specially designed instruction based on students’ Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)

• Modify curriculum and develop strategies to meet diverse learning needs

• Collaborate with general education teachers, service providers, and support staff

• Monitor and report student progress toward IEP goals

• Participate in IEP meetings and parent conferences

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district and state standards

Requirements:

• Active Connecticut Special Education Teaching Certification

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field

• Experience working in a high school setting preferred

• Strong classroom management and organizational skills

• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
