Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Minnesota Special Education Teaching License (ABS, EBD, LD, or another recognized MN SPED endorsement)
  • Experience working with high school students, particularly in alternative or blended learning settings, is highly preferred
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans targeting both academic and behavioral growth
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for engaging with students, colleagues, and families
  • Passion for supporting students from various backgrounds and educational levels

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality special education instruction in a blended/onsite format at the alternative learning center
  • Assess, plan, and adapt lessons and interventions that address each students unique learning style and behavioral needs
  • Foster a supportive environment to motivate students working toward critical graduation milestones
  • Work closely with the student services team to monitor progress, communicate regularly with stakeholders, and ensure compliance with all individualized education requirements
  • Utilize data-driven strategies to promote engagement and measurable student outcomes
