Your background in implementing behavior plans, structuring classroom routines, and driving strong instruction will help students thrive academically and socially. Collaborate closely with teams of general and special education professionals, as well as paraprofessionals, to create the most inclusive and effective learning environment possible.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Minnesota Teaching Credential in at least one special education area: Autism Spectrum Disorders, Developmental Disabilities, Early Childhood, Emotional Behavioral Disorders, Learning Disabilities, or Academic & Behavioral Strategist License (ABS license is a plus, but not required)
  • Demonstrated skill in designing and executing behavior intervention plans
  • Experience supporting students in self-contained and resource classroom settings
  • Strong instructional abilities for diverse learning needs
  • Proven collaboration with special and general educators, as well as paraprofessionals
  • Excellent attendance and reliability

Role Responsibilities:

  • Lead a special education classroom or resource room, tailoring instruction to student IEPs
  • Maintain organized, consistent classroom structure and routines
  • Implement behavioral supports and monitor progress
  • Schedule and collaborate with paraprofessionals to enhance student support
  • Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary teams
  • Adapt curriculum and instruction for a wide range of abilities
