We're seeking passionate and licensed Special Education Teachers for multiple contract positions in Birmingham, AL, for the 2025-2026 school year (8/7/25 - 5/22/26). Enjoy a supportive district environment and make a real difference in self-contained classrooms!

Job Duties of a School Special Education Teacher (include but are not limited to):

• Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Providing direct and indirect instructional support to students with disabilities.
• Collaborating with general education teachers, support staff, and parents.
• Conducting assessments and monitoring student progress.
• Maintaining accurate student records.
• Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

• Hours: 37.5 hours/week
• Caseload: Self-contained classrooms

Requirements:

• Active Special Education Teacher License is required.

Compensation:

• We offer the average competitive hourly rate of $30-$40 based on experience for a contract school special education teacher.
• Non-taxed stipends ranging from $1300 - $1600 per week!
