Qualifications

• Must meet all New Mexico state and local requirements for Occupational Therapists

• Active New Mexico OT license required

• Experience working with school-aged students preferred

• Strong skills in assessment, treatment planning, and progress monitoring

• Effective collaboration and communication with students, families, and school staff

Typical Job Duties

• Assess and evaluate students’ fine motor, sensory processing, and functional abilities

• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to support academic participation and daily school activities

• Provide direct therapy services in individual and small group settings

• Recommend and support adaptive equipment or classroom modifications

• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers to integrate therapy goals into the educational program

• Maintain accurate records and documentation of services and student progress

• Participate in IEP meetings and provide input for goal setting and accommodations

• Educate families and school staff on strategies to support student success

Compensation & Benefits

• Weekly direct deposit, pay starting at $45-$55 per hour
