Blazer Jobs is currently interviewing experienced Special Education Teachers for full-time positions within school districts in the Mount Prospect, IL area. We are looking for dedicated educators who are passionate about helping students with diverse learning needs succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

Job Requirements:
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet all Illinois state and local certification requirements, including:

  • A bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Special Education or a related field from an accredited institution

  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Special Education endorsement, issued by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)

  • Completion of all required background checks and fingerprinting per Illinois public school standards

  • Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

  • Prior experience in a school-based setting is preferred

Key Responsibilities:
Special Education Teachers in this position will be responsible for providing individualized instruction and support to students with disabilities. Responsibilities include:

  • Creating and executing IEPs that meet each student’s unique learning needs

  • Teaching in inclusive, resource, or self-contained classroom environments

  • Collaborating with general education teachers, specialists, and families

  • Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate records

  • Ensuring compliance with IDEA, state regulations, and district policies

  • Fostering a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
