Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Connecticut teaching certificate in Special Education
  • Experience teaching or working directly with students with IEPs or special educational needs
  • Knowledge of current special education practices, instructional strategies, and legal compliance
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students, families, and colleagues
  • Ability to adapt curriculum and modify instructional techniques to meet students unique needs

Your Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized instruction and support based on each students IEP
  • Assess, plan, and document student progress and development
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and school staff to promote inclusive practices
  • Participate in IEP meetings and maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations
  • Engage and communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance
