Qualifications & Requirements:

To be considered, applicants must meet all local and state requirements, including:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Special Education endorsement

• Knowledge of Individualized Education Program (IEP) development and implementation

• Ability to pass all required background checks and district onboarding processes

• Prior experience in a school-based setting is preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Create, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities

• Deliver direct instruction and academic support tailored to each student’s unique learning needs

• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and school staff to ensure inclusive educational practices

• Track and report student progress toward IEP goals and adjust plans as needed

• Maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations

• Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and team planning sessions
