Full-Time Special Education Teacher – North Platte, NE

Blazer Jobs is currently seeking experienced and dedicated Special Education Teachers for full-time positions with school districts in the North Platte, NE area. We are actively interviewing qualified professionals who are passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs.

Requirements:
Applicants must meet all local and state requirements to be considered for this role, including:

• Valid Nebraska Teaching Certificate with a Special Education Endorsement (K–6, 7–12, or K–12, as applicable)

• Compliance with Nebraska Department of Education background check and fingerprinting requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field

• Prior experience working in a school setting with special education students preferred

• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs

• Adapt general education lessons and teach various subjects to meet the needs of students

• Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure student success

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records and progress reports

• Participate in IEP meetings, staff meetings, and professional development sessions

• Provide direct instructional support to students in a variety of educational settings
