Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Connecticut Special Education Teaching Certification, or eligibility for certification
  • Experience or training in reading intervention programs (SPIRE, WILSON, Orton-Gillingham, etc.) preferred (for ELA/Math position)
  • Passion for fostering student growth in academic assistance and executive functioning
  • Dedication to collaboration, adaptability, and student-centered instruction

Position Details & Responsibilities:

  • Full-time travel roles; Monday through Friday, 3537.5 hours/week
  • Two placements at the middle school level:
    • 6th Grade ELA/Reading & Math: Teach specialized curriculum, support students with unique educational needs, and utilize evidence-based interventions
    • Academic Assistance (Grades 68): Facilitate student support in a resource setting, implement executive functioning goals, and build positive teacher-student relationships
