Special Education Teacher - Olpe, Kansas

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering evidence-based instruction and support in an onsite autistic classroom for early childhood and elementary caseloads
• Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the needs of each student
• Collaborating closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to promote student progress
• Managing classroom routines and behavior supports with sensitivity and consistency
• Collecting and analyzing data to inform instructional decisions and support ongoing student growth
• Participating actively in staff meetings, professional development, and IEP meetings

To be considered, you should have:

• Valid Kansas Special Education (SPED) teaching license (required)
• Experience working with students with intensive needs, particularly in early childhood or elementary settings
• Strong understanding of evidence-based practices for students with autism spectrum disorders
• Excellent communication, organization, and data-collection skills
• The ability and desire to work onsite consistently throughout the school year
• A passion for helping students achieve their fullest potential
