Key Qualifications:

• Active Indiana teaching license in Special Education (required; provide proof upon application)
• Previous experience in special education, working with students with mild disabilities
• Skilled in developing and implementing IEPs and differentiated instruction
• Strong collaboration and communication abilities with staff, students, and families
• Ability to maintain patient, positive, and inclusive classroom management
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet diverse student needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction and strategies for middle schoolers in a self-contained classroom
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Foster a supportive, inclusive, and encouraging environment
• Track progress, document outcomes, and adjust plans to ensure student success
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and administrators
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress
• Uphold all school and state compliance standards for special education
