ESL Special Education Teacher in Phoenix, AZ

Step into a pivotal role as an Educational Support System Teacher supporting students in grades 6-12. Based near Phoenix, AZ, this contract opportunity offers the choice of fully remote or in-person work and runs full-time (37.5 hours weekly) through May 2023. As an essential member of the educational team, youll engage with a caseload of 15-20 students, providing crucial instruction and support designed to help each learner thrive.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Arizona state certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Experience as a Special Education Teacher, ESL Teacher, or Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant (LDTC) preferred
• Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress tracking
• Strong communication skills and commitment to student success
• Ability to manage a diverse group of learners and adapt to their needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver Specifically Designed Instruction based on IEP goals to students in grades 6-12
• Collect and monitor progress data to assess and report on student outcomes
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Participate in IEP meetings, with flexibility around start and end times as needed
• Champion inclusive learning and advocate for each students unique needs
