Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced and dedicated Special Education Teachers for a full-time role with a school district in the Pickerington, Ohio area. This position will serve students during the Extended School Year (ESY) program, running from June 2 through August 1, 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact over the summer months, with potential for renewal based on performance and district needs.

Position Summary:

The selected candidate will provide individualized instructional support and services to students with special needs to help them maintain progress toward IEP goals during the ESY period.

Typical Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver instruction aligned with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

• Implement accommodations, modifications, and behavioral strategies in a classroom setting

• Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals

• Collaborate with general education staff, support personnel, and parents

• Participate in team meetings and ensure compliance with federal and state special education regulations

• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment

Qualifications and Requirements:

Applicants must meet all state and local certification requirements, including:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field

• Valid Ohio teaching license with a Special Education endorsement

• Background check and fingerprinting clearance as required by the state of Ohio

• Familiarity with IEP processes and progress monitoring tools

• Experience in a summer or short-term academic program preferred
