Details:
- Location: Pickerington, OH
- Part Time: 10+ hours per week (June 1 – August 1)
- Caseload: Elementary School + Middle School Assignment. The district likes to discuss more details at the time of interview to see the best fit.
Applicants must meet all state and local requirements, including:
- Valid Ohio Department of Education (ODE) Special Education Teaching License
- Completion of all required background checks and fingerprinting
- A Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in Special Education or a related field
- Proven experience in working with students with disabilities in an educational setting
- Strong knowledge of IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) and compliance with IDEA regulations
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and small group instruction to students with varying disabilities during the ESY program
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with each student’s IEP goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
- Maintain clear and accurate records of student progress and IEP documentation
- Support students in maintaining academic and behavioral progress over the summer term
- Ensure a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
