Special Education Teacher – Intense Interventions (Grades 7–12)
Location: Portland, IN
Contract Dates: August 5, 2025 – May 26, 2026
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | Onsite Only

BlazerJobs is working with a school district in Portland, Indiana to fill a full-time Special Education Teacher position for the 2025–2026 school year. This opportunity focuses on serving students in grades 7–12 who require intensive, individualized instruction due to moderate to severe disabilities.

Position Overview:

• Full-time, school-based position

• Intense Interventions classroom for secondary students

• Develop and implement specialized instruction and IEPs

• Work closely with related service providers, families, and support staff

• Create a structured, inclusive environment that promotes student progress

Licensure Requirements:

• Active Indiana teaching license with Intense Interventions (P-12) endorsement

  • (May also be listed as Exceptional Children: Intense Intervention)

• Mild Interventions license typically required as a base

• Experience with secondary SPED populations preferred

• Must be comfortable supporting students with higher needs
