Special Education Teacher in Round Lake, IL

In this contract position, you'll play a vital role in delivering quality education to a self-contained classroom of students with autism. This full-time opportunity begins as soon as possible and continues for a 12-week period, giving you the chance to provide stability and expertise where its most needed. Hours are from 8:20AM to 3:10PM, Monday through Friday, for a total of 35 hours weekly.

Key Qualifications:

• Must hold valid Illinois teaching certification
• Previous experience in teaching and within school settings is highly preferred
• Proven skills working with special education, specifically with students on the autism spectrum
• Ability to manage and support a classroom of roughly 815 self-contained students
• Availability for onsite responsibilities throughout the full assignment

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction and adapt curriculum to meet students unique needs
• Foster a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment supporting social and academic growth
• Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and families to craft and implement personalized education plans
