Special Education Teacher in Saint Paul, MN

This opportunity is based in the Saint Paul, MN area and runs from August 24, 2026, to May 28, 2027, offering a full 35-hour workweek. The position involves working with students across all age levels in specialized programs, making a meaningful difference every day. With eight openings availableincluding three positions at the middle school level, focusing on both resource and RISE classroomsthis is a unique chance to collaborate with a dedicated educational community.

What Were Looking For:

• Valid Minnesota teaching credential in Special Education: Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (Tier 3 or 4 license strongly preferred)
• Experience supporting students with a wide range of needs in a school setting
• Comfort working exclusively onsite (remote or virtual not an option)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to coordinate with teachers, staff, and families
• Ability to adapt instruction for both individual and small group success

What Youll Do:

• Deliver engaging, individualized instruction to students with cognitive and developmental disabilities
• Develop and implement IEPs, monitor progress, and modify strategies as needed
• Work closely with resource and RISE teams (three positions focused at Sandburg Middle School)
• Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for students of all abilities
• Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate on multidisciplinary teams
