Key Qualifications:

  • Active Minnesota teaching license in one or more of the following: Autism Spectrum Disorders, Developmental Disabilities, Early Childhood, Emotional Behavioral Disorders, Learning Disabilities, or Special Education. Academic & Behavioral Strategist License also considered.
  • Strong track record of excellent attendance and reliability.
  • Solid knowledge of behavior intervention plans, classroom structure, and effective instructional strategies.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with general education and special education staff, as well as paraprofessionals, to meet diverse student needs.
  • Experience working in higher-needs, self-contained environments is preferred.
  • Effective communicator with organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, individualized instruction to students in self-contained special education classrooms.
  • Implement and monitor behavior plans tailored to each students needs.
  • Establish and maintain classroom routines and structures that foster learning and safety.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues and paraprofessionals to support student achievement and well-being.
  • Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Serve as a resource on best practices for inclusive education within the school community.
