Job Opening: Special Education Teacher (SPED)
Location: Sarasota, FL
Caseload: K-12
Schedule: Full-time, Onsite

We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education (SPED) Teacher to join our team in Sarasota, Florida. This is a full-time, onsite role working with a K-12 student population in a supportive and inclusive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs

• Adapt general education lessons to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities

• Monitor and report student progress, maintaining accurate records

• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff

• Utilize a variety of instructional techniques to ensure student engagement and learning

• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team planning

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education or a related field

• Active Florida teaching certification in Special Education

• Understanding of special education laws and IEP processes

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Previous experience working in a K-12 educational setting preferred
