Compensation: $45–$50 per hour (based on experience)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and qualified Special Education (SPED) Teacher for the 2025–2026 school year in Sarasota, FL. This is a school-based position serving students in grades K–12. The ideal candidate will have experience developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting students with diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with families and educational teams

• Provide direct instruction and support to students with varying exceptionalities

• Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to meet individual learning styles

• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation

• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff

• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred)

• Valid Florida teaching certification in Exceptional Student Education (ESE)

• Knowledge of IDEA, IEP processes, and evidence-based instructional practices

• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• Previous experience in a school setting preferred

Contract Details:

• Full-time or part-time roles available

• 2025–2026 academic year

• Hourly rate: $45–$50 based on experience
