Two full-time contract roles are now available for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year in a vibrant Connecticut district, offering steady Monday-Friday schedules totaling 35-37.5 hours per week.

Key Qualifications:

• Current Connecticut certification in Special Education or eligibility for certification required
• Experience or training in reading intervention programs (SPIRE, WILSON, Orton-Gillingham, etc.) highly desirable for one of the roles
• Strong background supporting students with diverse learning needs
• Team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to foster a positive, inclusive learning environment

Position Details:

• One role offers the opportunity to teach 6th grade English Language Arts, Specialized Reading, 6th grade Math, and Specialized Math. The ideal candidate should possess, or be open to developing, expertise in reading intervention strategies.
• The second position focuses on academic support for grades 6-8, guiding students in developing executive functioning skills, supporting goal attainment, and providing resource-room style help in core subject areas.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers
• Provide targeted instruction and differentiated supports
• Monitor student progress, document outcomes, and communicate regularly with families
