Special Education Teacher in Stillwater, MN

Make an impact as an onsite Special Education Teacher working with high school students in an engaging 9th-12th grade community school environment. This contract position, set in a supportive school community, offers the chance to develop meaningful relationships, provide vital behavioral support, and help at-risk students succeed academically and personally. The assignment runs from August 31, 2026 through June 4, 2027, with teaching hours from 7:15am to 3:15pm, Monday through Friday. Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active Minnesota teaching license in EBD, ASD, or ABS (Out of Field Licensure Placement may be supported if needed)
• Experience working with at-risk youth and high school-aged students (grades 912)
• Proven strength in behavior support and innovative problem-solving within a school setting
• Collaborative team player, willing to partner with colleagues, staff, and families for student success
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to diverse student needs
• Provide direct instruction and behavioral interventions to students in line with their IEP goals
• Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment
• Partner with classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff for student success
• Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate at IEP meetings
• Communicate consistently with families and school staff regarding student progress and strategies
