Special Education (SPED) Teacher Position Hiring Now in Sumter, SC

Job Title: Special Education Teacher 
Location: Sumter, SC
On-Site Position 

We are currently interviewing for an Special Education Teacher to work with a school district in Sumter, SC. As a full-time or part-time employee you will be paid a competitive hourly rate that includes both direct and indirect services. Weekly hours each week are also guaranteed. More details about this position are below.
 

Position Details:

• Fulltime – 30 to 40 hours per week minimum and maximum guaranteed, Mon-Fri only
• Duties: Working with students with intellectual disabilities
• Caseload: Resource or Self-contained classroom for students with moderate intellectual disabilities
• Dates: August 2025 - June 2026
• Earlier Start Dates Available

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Level Degree in Education or related field 
• Must be certified to teach in South Carolina
