Special Education Teacher Full Time | Thomasville, NC

Blazer Jobs is seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Education Teacher to join Thomasville City Schools in Thomasville, NC for the 2025–2026 school year. This is a full-time, on-site position focused on delivering individualized instruction and case management to support students with disabilities across grade levels.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement IEPs in alignment with North Carolina Policies Governing Services to Students with Disabilities

• Coordinate IEP meetings and serve as case manager for assigned students

• Provide individualized instruction and targeted support to help students access core curriculum and achieve IEP goals

• Utilize data and assessments to track progress and inform instruction

• Support behavioral development through behavior modification techniques and positive behavioral interventions

• Collaborate with parents, general education staff, administrators, and related service providers

• Teach daily living skills and promote independence, goal-setting, and self-advocacy

• Supervise paraprofessionals and ensure compliance with accommodations and modifications

Qualifications:

• Active North Carolina teaching license with Special Education endorsement

• Strong understanding of IEP development, compliance, and progress monitoring

• Ability to work with diverse student needs in both inclusive and self-contained settings

• Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
